Everlove- Lucy Robinson
By Izzy Hegarty
In the depths of the north, we’ve got the rugby, shorts in all weather
blokes and this amazing Irish gem, Lucy Robinson. If Fleetwood Mac
and Hozier had a prodigy child, it’s Lucy. Currently working with a
local Independent Label, Monomyth Records, Everlove is the first of
many singles we’re going to be blessed with this year by this artist.
The track is best described as clean and dreamy with a sprinkle of
electronica. It also describes and takes us on a journey about diving
head first into a consistent love that captivates us over and over
again and will always stand the test of time. The vocals takes you
into a trance with the help of all the harmonies and vocalisations
done by herself and her two beautiful backing singers, Holly Mullahy
and Abbey Peacock. Taking heavy influence from Irish Legends such
as, Orla Gartland and Gareth Dunlop, Robinson has once again
captivated us with Everlove and states that this single is “Truly the
most raw song I have written (so far)”. We truly look forward to
what she has up her sleeves this summer.
