Forgetting it All - Ron Briskin
Single Review
By Irina Atanasiu
Israeli indie-rock musician Ron Briskin has returned to the music scene with his latest single ‘Forgetting it All’. This track, which is taken from his highly anticipated debut album, explores the tendency for people to get caught up in superficial pursuits while forgetting what truly matters.
Following his previous singles ‘Reach Out’ and ‘Nemesis’, ‘Forgetting it All’ contributes to a larger narrative in Briskin's upcoming album, which delves into the struggle of battling both inner conflicts and external pressures in the modern world. The lyrics particularly stand out, with lines such as "all those likes are worth more than a million lives" and "in our eyes, all the friends we made are just goodbyes." These phrases are bound to resonate with listeners due to their deep reflections on modern society's obsession with validation and the fleeting nature of relationships. Sonically, the track is reminiscent of bands such as The Strokes and Bloc Party, what with its standout riffs and powerful rock instrumentation. The track was produced by Daniel Chamorro and mixed by Lev Shurov.
‘Forgetting it All’ showcases Briskin’s ability to blend personal and introspective themes with infectious rock melodies. With his debut album on the way, Briskin is bound to make significant strides in the indie-rock scene, delivering a raw and insightful perspective on the challenges of modern life.
