Ghost - Rosie Webb

Single Review

By Clare Cordell

After the success of her song Does She Know? Rosie is back with this dream neo soul track 'GHOST' which is produced by the fabulous KNIGHT.

Hailing from East London, Rosie is an up and coming singer drawing inspiration from the likes of Jasmine Sullivan, Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone. All strong women with a strong message which is the vibe I get from Rosie. So I'm basically already a fan.

Ghost is about a dream that Rosie had about her ex, even though they were the LAST person she wanted to dream about, and one of her ways of dealing with the dream was to write this track. I’ve not even listened yet and I’m already obsessed with the concept.

From the opening ethereal bars I am completely sold on this track, and once the beat kicks in as well... CHEFS KISS!

Rosie's voice is equal parts powerful and dreamlike, which is really fitting for the vibe of this song. She is a GREAT storyteller and the track just blends so well.

After my first listen of the song, I was already singing the chorus which is always a good sign for me. Its catchy, clever and captivating.

As soon as this song drops in April, it is going straight into my Slay Era playlist which is where all my favourites are! Its a really great track and I can't wait for Rosie to release more!
