While it lasted - Daisy Peacock
Single Review
By Clare Cordell
Birmingham based, Sheffield born Daisy Peacock is already making waves in the local indie pop scene - having recently supported acts such as Alfie Jukes, daydreamers, and Blondes.
After her debut track “you don’t want me enough” I was super excited to listen to this new song “while it lasted” which will grace your ears on October 11th!!!
From the opening line this new track from Daisy Peacock draws you in instantly with super relatable lyrics all about that unforgettable young love at 16 and lessons we all inevitably learned the hard way.
Daisys vocals lend themselves so beautifully to this track and she gives me early Taylor swift vibes but with a super fresh exciting edge.
The track has a powerfully understated vocal line throughout and I want to give a particular shoutout to the lovely little riff on the last line *chefs kiss*
I love the beat, and the chorus is SO catchy I’ll be singing it for weeks.
